Our History — AMBIZ, more than 30 years of language excellence in Abidjan

The story of AMBIZ (American Business School) began in October 1993, when Mrs. Diana Marie Rivers, an American educator living in Abidjan, founded the institution in Cocody Centre. Inspired by a vision of providing language education rooted in native-speaker authenticity and international academic standards, she established AMBIZ to help Ivorians gain the language skills needed to succeed in an increasingly global environment.

What started as a language school offering English courses to individuals and professionals has grown into one of Côte d’Ivoire’s most respected language training and language services organizations, serving learners, businesses, institutions, and international partners throughout the country and beyond.
